Reasons for an angel themed tattoos

If you look around the internet you’ll find them everywhere, tattoos of angels. There are as many reasons and meanings for these tattoos as there are people who wear them. Over the years many different themes have arisen.
Recently a main theme with angel themed tattoos is remembrance tattoos. I’m not sure if this arose or if it’s just more noticeable now, but it seems that a good majority of these came after the September 11 attacks on the world trade center. Now you can find many angel themed tattoos that are dedicated to the men and women that were loss that day and the overall bravery and valor that they must have had in order to rush into a building of that size to help save lives. You can find many of these tattoos if you search online; they depict fire and police personnel in the act of rescue with their angel wings and halos. Additionally, you’ll find dedication tattoos for loved ones that may have been lost.
Another popular angel theme tattoo is for a child who has passed away. The main reason for this is remembrance of the young life that was and could have been. These tattoos honor the child as they were, and frequently incorporate a portrait of the child tattooed with symbols of an angel and other religious symbols.
Yet another popular angel tattoo is that of a particular angel. A popular one is of the archangel Michael. The reason for this is that Michael is viewed as the leader of the army of god. Many people who don these tattoos derive strength of the symbol and this helps provide them with a feeling of inclusion with their religious beliefs.
As I said before, there are as many reasons that people decide to get an angel tattoo so if you’re thinking of getting one, know that whatever your reason, it’s as good as anyone’s.

The overall popularity of tattoos has exploded since the 1970′s and has found its way into the mainstream. Today it seems that everyone has one. For a long time there was a stigma associated with having a tattoo. You were labeled a rebel, troublemaker, or one of many other labels that reflected on the tattooed person negatively. Many speculate that the reason for this was that traditionally it was the people on the fringes of society who were tattooed.

Full sleeve tattoo designs are coming into vogue. The term “full sleeve tattoos” refers to the fact that the tattoo covers the entire arm from the shoulder to the wrist. These types of designs get their name from their similarity from covering the arm like a long sleeve shirt, otherwise known as a full sleeve.

So this is my story with trying to design my own tattoo and looking for inspiration or pieces. It all started when I was watching TV. I had watched quite a few “tattoo” shows, but all of the artists were located pretty far from me, I don’t live in Las Vegas, Miami, or Los Angeles. Being that these artists were located pretty far from me, I needed to figure out what I wanted and find a tattoo artist who could get the job done.

Anyone know any good cat or music themed Tattoo designs?
I want to get my second tattoo very soon-been 3 years now- and i want to incorporate my love of cats and music in the design – anyone have any ideas or links to pictures that may give inspiration or designs of original tattoos with cats and music symbols – also, the word for family in any language would be good too if you can give any links – not chinese or urdu please as these are overdone
