Cross tattoo to cover over vertical text that I don’t want anymore?

I had a nickname from whenever I was in high school and college tatted up on me, “Spin” in old english vertically. I was called Spin because everyone said I was like something out of Spin magazine, being into indie music movies and culture.

I have other stuff around it and was wanting to cover it without doing too much. I was thinking about getting a cross to do this. What do you think?

I’m getting a cross tattoo with a banner on it. Any ideas for what text should be in the banner?

I want it to be short and simple. My friend ended up getting one that said “Walk by Faith”. I thought that was so cool! But I have no clue what to put in mine =/
