tribal tattoos and there meanings?

im thinking of getting a tattoo next year and im pretty sure i ahve my mind set on a tribal tattoo. but ive heard different designs have different meanings and that depending on your muscles etc the tat might be placed or done differently.

i really want to look into this because im not going to get it done if i ahve something that means something im completely against or unknowing of, etc. so if anyone can give me some incite on this or where i can learn about this online i would really appreciate it.

tribal tattoos and meanings?

Does anyone know where i can find a link on Tribal Tattoos and their meanings. I’ve always been very intrigued by Polynesian Tribal Tattoos. I’m actually Black (African American) and Samoan. Well…my great grandfather was full blooded samoan…so i’m looking for something to represent both cultures.
