Who says all tattoos have to have deep meaning?

Now yes, I do have 1, it is a dragon with fire behind it and ‘perseverance’ in chinese under it, representing my struggles in high school (currently) and the only thing moving me along is perseverance. But, I don’t think there is any rule against having a cartoon or cute design in a discreet place just to remind you of your childhood. Like the one I want in the nape of my neck.

Of course it would be smaller. But I don’t see what’s wrong. It reminds me of my childhood and love of singing. If it is a bad choice even for the reason above, why?
