How to choose tattoo needle sizes for your first tattoo kits

While choosing tattoo kits, the list of tattoo needles are only the amount, tattoo artists have to choose the sizes they want in the order comments. Many of them do not know how to choose tattoo needle sizes, cause some rarely used needles like 12RL and 13RS are only waste of money.
Strictly speaking, there is no such common tattoo needle sizes which is suitable for all tattooists. The selection of tattoo needles varies according to different artists’ habits ,the types of tattoo designs and tattoo machines.
The sizes of tattoo needles are as the following:

Round liner size, (RL): 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Round shader size (RS): 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Flat shader size (FS): 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15
Single Stack Magnum (M1) size: 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15
Double Stack Magnum (M2) size: 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17
Magnum Round size (MR or RM): 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15
Common tattoo needle sizes according to different needs:
1. RL1, 3, 5 are for of small tattoo linings.
2. RL7, 9, 14, 21, for whole back tattoo, and thick lines. The RL7 and RL 9 are perfect in shading tribal tattoo designs.
3. FS5, 7, 9, 11, for making whip stroke, and shading.
4. M5, 7, 9 for coloring small and medium tattoos.
5. M11, 13, 15, 17 for large tattoo design coloring.
6. The MR7, 9, 11 are for light shading, super for general portraits.
In fact, the most important thing to consider first is not the tattoo machines but the disposable tattoo needles and suited size tubes and tips. Cause, safe first. The disposable tattoo supplies are called one time used supplies, usually made of plastic and silica gel.
These tattoo supplies are very important for applying safe tattoos. Do not believe that ultrasonic tattoo cleaner could sterilize the supplies, the only professional way to sterilize your tattoo needles, tubes, tips and other re-useable tattoo supplies is autoclave. For this reason, the design is being chosen for several tattoos. However, the decision does not end there. You will still need to decide the type of cross which you want. Here are some options.

For this reason, several other forms of the Celtic cross has been produced. Aside from this, there are also several different styles which you can find within the Celtic artwork and these styles can also produce several different cross designs. The most famous is the knotwork cross. However, the Celtic cross can also be made with step or a spiral pattern.
Another cross design which is being used is the real wooden cross where Jesus died on. This design can be done by simply using a wooden cross and adding a Crucifix. The designs here are incredibly powerful and can also be done in several different varieties. People who are emo and Gothic can also use the cross design by making it look more Gothic. This can be achieved by incorporating metal pieces onto the cross.
The metallic look on the tattoo can be achieved ornately by adding several shadings and shadows so that the tattoo will look like a real metal cross. Often, these tattoos are adorned with a lot of jewels and can sometimes have an almost dark, eerie feeling. While they can be on the border by being dark, they can still be done beautifully and be well designed.
Lastly, the tribal cross design is being done by using big strong black lines which have been interwoven similarly to the Celtic cross. However, the lines of the tribal cross are usually placed randomly and can either have hard or sharp turns. No matter what cross tattoos you choose, you will still need to consider your options before getting it done.

Tribal Tattoos: How Do You Choose A Tribal Tattoo?
How do you choose a tribal tattoo? There are several factors to consider. It depends on why you want a tribal tattoo in the first place. Are you trying to get in touch with your own heritage? Some people who are part (or all) Native American, for example, want to get tattoos that express this. The same goes for any other heritage that has a tattooing history.
You don’t have to be of any particular ethnic origin to want a tribal tattoo. In today’s global culture, anyone may feel attracted to a certain symbol. This may be for spiritual reasons or it may be that you simply like the way a particular image looks! You don’t, for example, have to be Chinese to want a Chinese tattoo. Many people like Celtic Tattoos, such as knotwork or Celtic crosses without being of Celtic descent. If you are not familiar with the type of culture you are getting your image from, however, there are certain things to keep in mind. Tribal tattoos often have very specific meanings that go back very far in time.
If you want a tattoo with Chinese characters, Maori or other Polynesian symbols, or lettering in any alphabet you don’t know, be sure to thoroughly research what you are getting ahead of time. You can do some valuable research online, but be sure to double check any meanings before you get your tattoo. It’s quite common for people to get tattoo symbols and later find out that they mean something completely different from what they thought! This can be quite embarrassing. It can also be offensive to people who understand the meaning. Some tribal style tattoos are less specific and therefore less risky in terms of making the wrong kind of statement.
For example, instead of Chinese characters you may simply want a Chinese style dragon or other animal. Of course, many animals do have particular meanings for the Chinese. Many are related to the Chinese zodiac. The same animals or other symbols may have a different meaning in different cultures. But these meanings are still easier to look up than character symbols, which are based on an entire alphabet that is unfamiliar to you.
Once you are sure you understand the meaning of your tribal tattoo, be sure where you want to put it. Some people like to try out temporary tattoos to give them a general idea of how it will look. Some designs work better on certain parts of the body than others. You should also make sure you find an artist who is familiar with this type of design. A tattoo artist may be very good at certain types of design and not others. With tribal tattoos it may be worth your while to find a specialist, even if you have to travel further to have the work done. Remember, a tattoo is (usually) a lifelong committment!
