Amazon, please explain why I should pay almost $48 for Larsson’s trilogy bundle (hardcovers, uncased) when I can order them separately from you for about $43?

I bought the set of 3 Larssons on a good review from Time magazine. I planned to read them on our beach vacation. However, I don’t particularly care for human and animal cruelty with some sexual slavery thrown in. I would give these books a 0 star. I threw them all away. Bill

Amazon is an amazing company. I have had nothing but great experiences UNTIL “IconCreatiOns”. I ordered Stieg Larson’s Trilogy in hardcover and then nothing. I have emailed Icon but…no response. 2 THUMBS DOWN–WAY DOWN!!!I’m asking Amazon for a refund.

I will be happy with the book once I get it…what I am not happy about is the fact that I ordered it on the 20th and it still hasn’t shipped! And this is AMAZON?

Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy Bundle: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest
THE BOOKS ARE FANTASTIC AND AND FILL IN DETAILS THAT CANNOT BE EXPLORED IN A FILM!!!
Actually the reviewer challenging the price difference is correct. You can order all (3) books separately in hardback with the same “deckle edge” for $43.42 instead of $47.88.
The issue isn’t the $5 it’s the fact that Amazon is promoting “the set” as something special when it is actually a ripoff. Also take the $5 and times it the hundreds of thousands of people who couldn’t be bothered to do the research and you will see why Amazon is such a huge corporation.
